I left for a two-week trip and my basil came back looking better than when I left it. The clay seeps water right to the roots so I'm not guessing how much to pour anymore. My only note is that you still have to refill the reservoir every few days for a thirsty plant.

The glazed finish looks nice enough to leave on the kitchen counter, but it's the porous clay doing the real work — my herbs have stayed evenly moist for almost two weeks without me touching the watering can. Filled it once and basically forgot about it.

My tomatoes stopped wilting the day I buried this thing next to them, and I haven't touched a watering can since. The clay seeps slowly enough that the soil stays damp but never soggy. Genuinely the laziest plant care I've ever pulled off.
