My cat usually bolts when she sees a brush, but the soft pig bristles on this one don't spook her at all. It picks up a surprising amount of loose fur without scratching her skin, and the beechwood handle feels solid in my hand.

The pig bristles are stiff enough to grab loose fur but my cat doesn't flinch when I brush her back. I've been using it every morning for a week and the beechwood handle feels solid without being heavy.

My picky cat actually tolerates this brush, which says a lot since she usually bolts the second she sees a grooming tool. The bristles grab loose winter fur without scratching her skin, though I do wish the handle were a touch longer for reaching her back.
