砥石の凹面底部は剪定ばさみの刃の曲線に最適で、平らな面はハサミやクリッパーの長い直線刃に最適です。
My secateurs had gotten so dull they were crushing stems instead of cutting them, and the three whetstones in this kit brought the edge back in maybe ten minutes. The Osaka-made stones feel dense and don't dish out quickly like the cheap ones I've burned through before.
Bought this to bring my pruning shears and hori-hori back to life and the three Osaka whetstones make it stupidly easy to get a proper edge back. The coarse one took a nick out of the blade in a few passes, then the finer stones polished it up nicely.
The two finer stones in this kit are perfect for a quick touch-up between sharpening sessions. My old blades had a decent edge again after just a few passes, which is way easier than I expected.
