The solid oak finish feels even better in person than in the photos, and the way the shelves are fastened to the frame gives it a rock-solid stability I didn’t expect. It’s turned into the perfect spot for my heavy cookbooks and a few plants without any sagging.
The solid oak shelves feel incredibly sturdy once assembled, and the clean Scandi lines from the fifties fit perfectly in my reading nook. It’s exactly the kind of piece that makes a room feel more put-together without trying too hard.
The oak grain is so warm and even that the whole unit looks like it grew in our living room, not like something we assembled on a Tuesday. Those solid shelves are screwed in tight with zero wobble, even with all my cookbooks stacked on top.
