The recycled aluminum has a lovely matte finish that feels really solid in your hands, and the whole thing is sturdy enough that I don't worry about it tipping over. It's become my go‑to stool for slipping on shoes by the door, and the compact footprint fits perfectly in the corner.
The aluminum is so light I keep forgetting it's even in the corner until I need to pull it out for guests. The handcrafted texture catches the light in a way that looks far more expensive than the price suggests.
