I went away for three weeks and came back to herbs that were still green and perky, which honestly surprised me. The self-watering reservoir did all the work, and it looks nice enough sitting on my kitchen sill that guests ask about it.
The water reservoir actually lasts almost two weeks, which saved my basil while I was away on a trip. It looks nice enough on the windowsill that I don't bother hiding it. Genuinely the first self-watering pot I've owned that doesn't feel like a plastic afterthought.
